Senior school Sport
St Aidan’s offers an inclusive and vibrant sporting program with a proud tradition of participation and performance. Our primary goal is to give every girl a desire to have a lifelong involvement in sport and physical activity, based on the positive experiences and enjoyable memories they have gained at school. Sport brings challenge, and a vital balance to academic life. Every day our girls have the opportunity to participate, to challenge themselves physically and to achieve their personal bests. We believe in the positive virtues of sporting competition – our teams play to win but never at the expense of enjoyment and fair play.
St Aidan’s is one of ten member schools of the Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sporting Association (QGSSSA). Students have the opportunity to participate in an extremely high level of competition, enhance their physical skills, while developing a healthy love of sport. In addition to QGSSSA, St Aidan’s is affiliated with a number of other sporting associations, including Rowing Queensland, Equestrian Queensland, Brisbane Metropolitan Touch and Western Districts Netball.
