ABOUT

Our Staff

St Aidan’s endeavours to employ the highest quality teaching and support staff by ensuring best practice in our recruitment, selection, and employment processes. They are the backbone of our school, helping to create a nurturing environment and setting the benchmark for educational excellence.

Inspiring Professionals

We have highly qualified staff. Together, we form a connected community that is passionate about delivering a world-class education. We share the same values - reason, imagination, truth, compassion and responsibility - and rely on these to ensure we are leaders in delivering a girls' education.

Almost 34% of our teachers hold a tertiary qualification at Masters level or higher.

In addition, 74% of our teachers and leaders have two or more tertiary qualifications.

Professional Development

Our Professional Learning Framework encourages goal setting aligned with the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership Professional Standards for Teachers.

Staff are encouraged and supported into leadership roles, with many regularly attending professional development sessions, leadership programs or undertaking additional study. We offer a tailored ‘Learning to Lead’ program to staff which is designed to explore a context-specific approach to leadership and deliver a range of learning activities over 18 months.

More than one quarter of our staff have completed this program. In addition, several staff have completed or are aspiring to complete the Independent Schools Queensland Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher Program

Senior School teachers are actively involved with QCAA through the preparation, administration and marking of external exams. Our Year 12 teachers are engaged with QCAA in ATAR moderation roles.
