Our School Council

St Aidan’s School Council is the official governing body overseeing the growth and development of the School. Its role is to ensure the philosophy of the founding Sisters is maintained, as well as provide oversight to ensure the financial viability of the School.

School Council members, who include representatives of the School and wider community, meet each month to review progress towards strategic goals, consider reports from the Principal and advise on the School’s development through the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Building and Grounds Committee, and the Brand and Reputation Group.

Stephen Green	Chair of School Council Chair – Building and Grounds Committee Member – Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee Member – Nomination and Remuneration Committee Stephen is a past parent of St Aidan's students. Stephen has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
Rachael Cronin	Director of School Council Chair – Brand and Reputation Committee Member – Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee Rachel is the Vice President, External Relations & Tenures Management at Arrow Energy. Rachael has a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Scott Douglas	Director of School Council Chair – Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee Member – Buildings and Grounds Committee Scott is a Managing Director at Yield Corporation and a past parent of St Aidan's students. Scott has a Bachelor of Urban Development (Property Economics), a Bachelor of Economics, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Dr Marian Free	Director of School Council Marian is The Rev'd Canon at St John’s Cathedral. Marian has a Bachelor of Arts, a Diploma in Education and a PhD.
Dr Chelsea Ho	Director of School Council Chelsea is a past student of St Aidan's, graduating as Dux of the School in 2014. She is currently a Medical Doctor with Queensland Health. Chelsea has a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Bachelor of Medicine.
Anne-Maree Keane	Director of School Council Anne-Maree is a Partner at KPMG. She has a Bachelor of Business (Distinction) and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investing. She is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (FCA) and is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FFin). Anne-Maree is also a current parent of a St Aidan's student.
Simon Petie	Director of School Council Member – Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee Simon is the Director/Principal Consultant at Escalate Consulting and also a current parent of St Aidan's students. Simon has a Bachelor of Arts (Politics), a Graduate Diploma (Strategic Leadership) and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM).
Reece Walker	Director of School Council Member – Nomination and Remuneration Committee Reece is a Partner at McCullough Robertson Lawyers and a current parent of St Aidan's students. Reece has a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance. He is also a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FFin) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Toni Williams	Company Secretary – School Council Member – Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee Member – Building and Grounds Committee Toni is the Director of Business & Operations for the Society of Sacred Advent (SSA) working across both St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School and St Margaret's Anglican Girl's School. Toni has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Business (Information Systems). She is CSA Certified and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Toni Riordan	Ex Officio – School Council Member – Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee Member – Joint Ethos Committee Member – Building and Grounds Committee Member – Brand and Reputation Committee Toni is the Principal of St Aidan's Anglican Girls’ School. Toni has a Bachelor of Education, Master of Educational Leadership, is a Member of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (MACEL), a Member of the Australian College of Educators (MACE), and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

The Society of the Sacred Advent Schools Pty Ltd is the Trustee of St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School and St Margaret's Anglican Girls School.

The members of the board of directors of the Trustee are:

the Archbishop of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane (or his nominee);
the Reverend Mother of the Society of the Sacred Advent the Leader of the Society of the Sacred Advent;
a person nominated by the Society of the Sacred Advent;
the Chair of St Aidan's School Council Ltd; and
the Chair of St Margaret's School Council Ltd.

The Trustee owns the assets and operations of the respective schools and is the employer of all staff. The board of the directors of the Trustee meets regularly to consider the governance and progress of both St Aidan's Anglican Girls' and St Margaret's Anglican Girls School.

St Aidan's School Council Ltd (ABN 31 074 999 527), a public company limited by guarantee, has been appointed as the Trustee's agent to operate St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School. The Council is also governed by its Constitution, takes guidance and direction from the Philosophy and Mission Statement of the Society of the Sacred Advent, and is regulated by Australian corporate law.
